Show and Tell = Giveaways

Friday turned into the mother of all spring cleans for my crafting stuff. At 3am I finally called it a night to get up Saturday and continue on the rest of the house. The car boot is now full of packages for the local op shop, fabrics and papers but aside for friends and best of all three yes 3 bundles of fabric to giveaway. Well now that I have your interest I must warn you that this post will contain gratuitous photo's before you get to the how to win some fabric part. Of course you could cheat and just skip to the end, but then you will miss out on all the stuff my spring cleaning turned up for Show and Tell! And you wouldn't want to miss that - would you?!

Firstly a selection of just some of the fabrics that have come through my door of late.

-The gorgeous green japanesy print I bought from pyglet and she threw in the other green fabric and patch. Spoilt.
-The scraps are all from Patchwork on Central for only 50c each! I so love a scrap box. Why don't more fabric shops have these? Edited: Sorry should have been clear that I got the scraps from the store- not from the website - sorry.
- A selection of fabrics i just had to have from Cia's Palette. (please excuse the bad spelling above.)
- And finally an even larger selection of things, including some great oilcloth from Sew Mama Sew.
There was also a small parcel from purl with some of this and one of these - but shh it was only small!!

I have also had some wonderful finds while thrifting lately.

-Gorgeous old children's patterns, including little ballerina outfits - I am moving that one up the to do list as we speak.
-A pattern making book complete with stencils for drawing pattern curves - for all that pattern making I do - NOT!
-A vintage Rowan knitting pattern book, and a lovely little book of crazy knitting projects.
-But finally my new pride and joy, is this beautiful vintage, electric sewing machine that I bought for only $20. It is in perfect working order, came with its original toolkit and instruction booklet, and carry case. It is perfect for Miss L to use as it only sews straight stitch (backwards and forwards), and is so heavy it won't move from under her. Even R admitted it was quite lovely to look at. I am a very, very happy camper!!

And despite all the fabric buying and op shop hunting that has been going on, I have managed a few crafting bits and pieces.

-Bibs for some newborn babies that have just joined us.
-A ballet bag for a friend of Miss L
-More doll quilts coming along....

But finally, we come to the part that will really interest you....

I have three bundles of fabric (and a few little surprises) to give away. I have bundled them into this month's Project Spectrum colours (more on that in another post) Yellow, Green and Pink. All you need to do is leave a comment saying hello, and telling me which colour bundle you would prefer. For all those shyer readers, now is the time to dip your toe and leave a comment. Family members are allowed to enter but will not receive any preference - ha! And I will post to anywhere - so get commenting.

I will draw the three winners sometime on Wednesday night, so stay tuned to see if you won.

Hi there Samantha
I'm Sam, have been lurking for a while and thought now was a perfect chance to say hi! I am just starting a bit of a fabric stash and am about to commence my first project (a bag) and then maybe a quilt, if i can sew straight!! I would prefer the green selection if i was lucky enough to be chosen
thanks very much
Sam

Not fair that family members don't get a preference. And I hope those op shop bags do not contain anything your younger sibling may like/use/be remotely interested in! Have managed to do a bit more of Z's rainbow rag rug and will post pics of hot water bottle cover to Flickr soon (is sitting on camera). I would love yellow or pink pile (pity about no blue pile as your nephew C wants a BLUE rag rug of course). I hope none of the giveaways are inherited from Mum - she will spot them instantly!

Hey Sam
You have been on a fabric buying frenzy!
I can't pass up the chance for some gorgeous fabric either... so I am up for your green bundle giveaway. Fingers crossed!

btw... Where on the Patchwork Central page did you find those great scraps. Am I just blind or did they run out?

It's shameless I know, I haven't dropped by for ages and yet here I am putting my hand up to scab some fabric giveaways! But as I am so shameless, I love the green - but would settle for which ever!

With a house full of boys, I never have enough pink in my life!

I love it when crafty friends spring clean.

Hello I am another lurker that drops in from time to time. I'd be happy with any of those colours, yet if I had to pick, yellow would be it as its a colour I dont seem to use much. I love the little sewing machine you picked up, its so cute!

Hi Samantha - Thank you for visiting my blog today and for your lovely comments. I'm enjoying going through your blog this morning. Have a wonderful day!

PS - I don't really sew (I want to learn though!) but if I won I would prefer the pink to make something for my daughter. :)

Hi Samantha, thanks for dropping by my blog and yes I am loving my new bag!! I love all your thrifty goodness and what a fabulous sewing machine. And as for all those yummy fabrics - thanks for the links. I'm always happy to add to the fabric stash even though I should be getting rid of some. I would love the green..

Wow, this sure is a good way to get people to leave comments!!
I think I like the yellow one best.
I'll even throw in a sweetener (okay, a bribe) - let me have some fabric and I'll send you a hair clip made with that fabric.

your op shop finds are amazing! Lucky you with that FAB machine what a find, it's such a good feeling isn't when you find something that is truly a treasure. I love all the colours of fabric, any of them would be a treat! :-)

WOW Sam that sewing machine is a real gem!!!

hey, thanks for the tip about fabric scraps at patchwork on central - i'm been hoarding fabric lately too and that sounds like perfect way to add to the stash.

the thrifted sewing machine is FABULOUS!

...and, since i'm here... i'm digging a bit of yellow these days :)

I hope you're doing well with the costume - my bag is still lying in bits on the living room floor, staring at me every time I walk in there. Need courage!

And, hey, can I put in a vote for yellow? Or pink. Or even green. Sort of liking them all!

Well, now you've made me come out of hiding, just have to say how jealous I am of your lucky sewing machine find. Miss L is one lucky little girl. If I'm one of your chosen three, throw me right out of my comfort zone and send me the green pile please (already have plans for it - u-handbag blog have some gorgeous purses, with directions too) cause I am green with envy...

Well now, a chance of free fabric? How can a girl turn down that?! The only hard part is just picking one pile, but I was drawn to the green one immediately and so will sticj with that. Haven't read the other comments, so maybe everyone went with the green. I'll take my chances.

Hi, this is the first time I have visited your blog. I found my way here via 'pyglet whispers'. It is so hard to decide which group of fabrics is nicer, but if I had to choose I think I would choose green but they all look really interesting.

Oh the yellow and the green bundles speak to me more than the pink (tho it is LOVELY).
