*However, I do have something I prepared earlier - last school holidays in fact. I made Miss L some capes for the dress up box (Wally the wonder dog was sporting one in a recent photo), and her friend Miss I joined us at the park one day to test them out.
Apparently they were great for flying, so I guess that means they pass the superhero test!
I could make you some promises about taking photo's this week about all the other things that have happened around here of late, but I'm afraid to let you all down - so instead, I'll just promise to try to take some photos. I'll also try to get back into this blogging rhythm thing again - or maybe I won't and then I'll just blame it on the heat....
* P.s. This wonderful cake was made by my sister, just so she doesn't think I'm taking the credit!

I have always wanted to make that cake and it looks splendid on such a hot day like today! I LOVE the cape idea - miss 5 in my house would probably love one of those in her dress up box. Hmmm could be a Christmas project - if I could be bothered getting myself to the sewing machine. It gives me great comfort knowing there are others out there that procrastinate so effectively! We get there in the end!
Funny that you posted the photo of the capes. Only just yesterday Master E had a fit because I had to put the top with the cape attached - the one you made for him a couple of years ago - away as it was too small. He said he was going to ask you to make him another one. Surprised that he did not ask you today. Like the capes though.

the cake is wonderful!! It has been sooo hot here too I hate it!! It makes me so grumpy and like you..I put everything off "cos of the heat"!! Bring on autumn!!! (a bit early I know)
i am always fascinated with it being summer in Australia during Christmas. i could not imagine it not being cold. but man i want to go to australia!!!

my son just saw me reading your blog and he said "aww can ya get me one mum?" when he saw the cake. The pressure is on now, I cant even bake a cake let alone decorate it.
